Gilbert Temba
Managing DirectorGilbert Temba is a Mining Engineer by profession, with extensive managerial experience in the Zambian mining industry and in other diverse local and international private enterprises. He has extensive local and international exposure and traveled widely in Europe, USA, Soviet Union, Far East and Africa etc. He has influenced and promoted private sector business investment to the extent of $3 billion in Zambia and Africa. He has held executive roles in several multinational corporations such as Caterpillar Mazembe, Chibote Group of companies, ITM international and Copperbelt Industrial products. Past non-executive directorships in the Bank of Zambia, Vodafone, BHPB Zambia, Mitsui Japan among others. He is currently an advisor at the National Economic Advisory and non-executive chairman of Wonderful Group.
Wilphred Katoto
Co – Chief Consulting OfficerWilphred Katoto has spent over 38 years in the Zambian mining industry, having joined the then Roan Consolidated Copper Mines Limited (RCM) in 1981 at the Chibuluma Division Concentrator. He spent ten years in operations in various mineral processing and hydrometallurgical plants of ZCCM Ltd. In 1992, he was appointed to head the Metallurgical Investigations Department (MID) under the Technical Directorate in Kalulushi where he was responsible, for monitoring plant operating parameters as well as conducting optimizing work for metallurgical operations across ZCCM Ltd. Wilphred worked at the Corporate Head Office in Lusaka and served as Technical Managerin the Office of the Chairman of the GRZ/ZCCM Privatisation Team. From 2000 to 2020, he represented ZCCM-IH minority interests, as a member of the Boards of KCM, Mopani, Chambishi Metals, Luanshya Copper Mine, CEC, Lumwana, and the Mukuba Pension Scheme.
Frederick Ng’ona

His broad experience within the mining industry includes mineral resource management encompassing survey, mine planning, geology and grade control, geotechnical and hydrogeology. Development and evaluation of optimal resource exploitation plans, and scenarios aligned with strategic intent and existing business plans. He is adept at the start-up of new operations. Exposure and participation in Scoping studies, Prefeasibility and Bankable Feasibility Studies as a central point of contact. +30 years’ experience in Zambia and DRC.
Peter Lukonde
Principal Consultant - MiningPeter Lukonde is an experienced operations mining engineer. His experience within the mining industry includes mine production planning and underground ventilation design. He has managed teams encompassing mine planning, mine production, labour planning, open pit equipment optimization, and mining contract tender preparation. He has delivered lectures in mine economics and mine valuation, at the Copperbelt University. He has also managed mining contracts for various contractors on the Zambian Copperbelt. He has over 30 years’ experience.
Berret Mwenda
Consultant - GISBerret Mwenda has over 30 years mining surveying work experience in the Zambian mining sector. This ranges from underground to surface works which has been gained with various institutions including the Zambia Consolidated Copper Mines, Nkana Division and Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development. He has consolidated his mining surveying skills with Geographic Information Science for mineral exploration.
Edward Chisakulo
Principal Consultant – Mineral EconomicsEdward Chisakulo is an active mineral scientist/economist with postgraduate qualifications in Exploration Geology (MSc) and Business Administration (MBA). He also holds a doctorate degree (PhD) in Mineral Economics with over 25 years of experience in the mining industry and academia. Edward is conversant with mining/geological consultancy and feasibility studies for various mineral extractive projects in the mine value chain. These include, among others, management of geology/exploration projects, mine project valuations, due diligence studies, mine taxation, and techno-economic evaluation of projects. Currently, he is serving as a Researcher/Lecturer at Copperbelt University in the School of Mines and Mineral Sciences.
Michael Mutale

Michael has also led notable projects in land use/cover change mapping, land governance assessment, and integrated land administration system design. He has extensive exposure to various mining and civil engineering projects through training and attachments to India, South Africa, Burkina Faso, UK, Australia and Kariba North Bank Extension project, Zambia. His skills include geotechnical data collection and analysis, excavation design and ground stability control techniques, with particular reference to, shaft sinking (vertical and inclined), large underground capital excavations and various mining methods. He has conducted training seminars in ground control techniques for all levels of underground employees and worked as part-time lecturer in rock mechanics and Mining engineering, at Copperbelt University.
Joackim W Mumba
Principal Consultant - Accounting & FinanceJoackim W Mumba is a Certified Public Accountant with expertise in accounting, finance, investment and taxation with experience spanning 30 years. He has worked in the mining sector at Mopani Copper mines in various accounting such as Ledgers and Payroll Accountant, Senior General Accountant and Senior Tax Accountant. Before that, he worked for ZCCM Nkana Division, the forerunner to Mopani Copper mines in a number of accounting roles. Joackim was the finance expert on the ZCCM -IH feasibility consultant for the Kitumbi Copper mine project in Mumbwa District of Central Province. He has also consulted for Millenium Challenge Account Zambia on the Lusaka Drainage Project for three years. Additionally, he has experience in financial and accounting system designs as well as ERPs.
